"You're Looking Lovely"

Gisborne's Margaret Whitehead, daughter of Mr and Mrs James Whitehead, Cochrane Street, looking her beautiful best, modelling a replica of the ensemble worn by Princess Margaret to Princess Alexandra's wedding, during the recent Ball-room Gown of the Year fashion show in Gisborne.

Margaret, an expert shorthand typist, and former journalist on the Gisborne Herald staff, will be well-remembered in Gisborne for her portrayal of Liat in the Operatic Society's production of "South Pacific", and for her solo dancing in "The Sleeping Beauty" Christmas pantomine. She also holds the Royal Academy of Dancing's intermediate major ballet examination.
