Enjoying drying dishes after their wedding at St. Andrew's Cathedral, Sydney, are Mr T. N. Cochrane and his new bride, the former Miss Nina Rosemary Polson, of Remuera, Auckland. At right is Mr Peter Polson, Christchurch, who represented the bride's family. Mrs Cochrane has just completed ten years of Missionary work in New Guinea as a member of the Unnevangelized Field Mission. The couple are now living at 140 Ormond Road, Gisborne.

Gisborne's most prolific novelist, and a member of a family prominent in the district's earlier days, died recently. She was Miss Rosemary Rees, of Norman Road, the youngest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs W. L. Rees, After a career on the Australian and English stage, she took up writing with considerable success, having 24 books published. She returned to Gisborne in 1954.

Mr Jack Booth, 13 Bayly Street, pictured with the gifts he received from his directors and staff on his retirement from works manager of the Gisborne Freezing Works. His retirement marked the end of 45 years experience in the freezing industry.
