Miss Gladys Haydon, daughter of Mr and Mrs H. Haydon, Makaraka, who won the Pitman and Sons, of Melbourne, award for highest marks in their shorthand examination for Training College commercial students. Miss Haydon is at present on the staff of the Gisborne Girls' High.
