Fanciful Hair Styles

A glamorous parade of fantasy and evening hair styles was the highlight of the first Poverty Bay Master Ladies' Hairdressers' Association's ball, which was attended by maximum numbers in the War Memorial Hall last month.

The upstairs gallery was also packed to capacity with spectators for the parade.

Twenty-one hairstyles from seven salons were modelled, many of them being multi-coloured or adorned with accessories, and were obviously the result of much creative thought and effort.

Mrs Pat Stewart was the compere, and Mr J. McCormack, of Auckland, the Master of Ceremonies.
