Sandra Leaves For Home

After seven months as an American Field Service scholar at Gisborne Girls' High School, 17-year-old Sandra Whitaker, from Storres, Connecticut, left for home early one morning last month.

For Sandra, these months were a revelation of life and learning in another country, but equally the Gisborne girls of her class and school found her presence a lively experience. Her winning personality and unaffected ways won her a host of friends during her short stay here, and there were many expressions of affection and regret when the time came to leave.
