Now And Then

Shown above is Woolworths' greatly enlarged and newly renovated store on the corner of Bright Street and Gladstone Road, in the last stages of completion. Below, is a picture of the same corner over forty years ago. The gentleman in the waistcoat is Mr C. Pistor. On the right of him are, Mr Jenkins accountant for Halls, Miss Eileen Hall, Mrs Zita Bates and Mr Fred Hall, jnr. The picture was loaned by Mrs H. H. Barker.
