Mrs V. M. McConnell, Te Araroa, sends in these interesting pictures which are a sequel to the recent East Coast visit of the Governor-General. They are scenes from the visit of a former Governor-General, Lord Galway, in April 1936.
A welcome haka at MicKs Bay for Their Excellencies. The group includes the Rev. Mr Tamahori, H. Houkamau, A. T. Ngata, Mrs Dr. Wi Repa, Mrs Chesley, W. Pahuru, Hori Kingi, and Mrs Poutu.

The ceremony at Tiki Tiki where Lord Galway presented the original Bledisloe Cup to a Te Araroa farmer, Mr H. Dewes. (The cup was destroyed in a fire a few days later when it was on display at Te Araroa Farmers' Store).
