Mrs V. M. McConnell, Te Araroa, sends in these interesting pictures which are a sequel to the recent East Coast visit of the Governor-General. They are scenes from the visit of a former Governor-General, Lord Galway, in April 1936.

The ceremony at Tiki Tiki where Lord Galway presented the original Bledisloe Cup to a Te Araroa farmer, Mr H. Dewes. (The cup was destroyed in a fire a few days later when it was on display at Te Araroa Farmers' Store).
