Mr Jack Chrisp, New Zealand Breweries, presented gold watches, for 40 years' service, to Messrs H. Patterson and R. Hanna at a recent social function at the Aberdeen Road plant.

During the recent recital by Mme Llli Kraus, the Mayor, Mr H. H. Barker, was presented with the key of the grand piano at the Opera House. Mr D. Kohn is presenting the key on behalf of the Gisborne Lions.

Nurse Corinne Payne passed her Nurse Aids final exam, with honours and was top equal for N. Z. Corinne is Mrs Du Pontet's grand-daughter and has nursed at Opotiki Hospital for the past two years.
