Dr and Mrs E. H. Ross and their two children, Pirn (aged 2) and Bruce (5 months), photographed recently in the grounds of the Ross home at No. 6 Derby Street. An old Gisborne boy, Dr Ross, who is the son of Mr Edgar Ross, was educated here, and graduated from Sydney University. After serving with the A.I.F. he studied in England, and after joining the colonial service he has been 'stationed at Ipoh, Malaya, where he is the ear, nose and throat specialist attached to the hospital there, with roughly a million people in his area. Mrs Ross is an Australian. They are spending Dr. Rosss leave touring New Zealand, with Gisborne as headquarters.
