Highway to the North

According to reports, the sum of two million pounds is to be spent on roads in the Gisborne-E.C. highways district within the next fire years, by which time it might be expected that local highways will be brought up to the standard enjoyed for many years past by most other parts of the country.

One of the major works will be the northern link to Opotiki through the Waioeka Gorge. Photographs- on these pages in that locality recently.
