Miss Beverley Smyth, youngest daughter of Mrs M. Smyth, 98 Awapuni Road, who has taken up Karitane nursing in Wellington. Miss Smyth was' formerly with Petties Ltd.

Mr Maurice Haache, of the staff of the Central School, whose coming-of-age was celebrated recently at a party at the home of his parents, Mr and Mrs B. Haache, Sheehan St.

Joan Lister, daughter of Mr and Mrs C. A. Lister, Stout Street, and Roy Watt, son of Mr and Mrs J. A. Watt, of Childers Road, whose engagement has been announced. Mr Watt is wellknown in Gisborne musical circles for his talents as a violinist.
