The old courthouse at Waipiro Bay, now just a reminder of the days when it was the seat of law administration on the Coast.

The main East Coast highway is now on a higher level in the Mangahauini Valley. Two of the new culverts are buried under this section of the road. The old road is down at the bottom of the power poles on the left.
