The Queen Carnival

All the Queens appear to be having an extremely busy time. Unfortunately, we were able to cover the activities of only three. However, the main thing is to raise funds for an Olympic Pool and some of the activities of the hardworking committees are shown here.

The highlight, to date, was the "Selwyn Toogood style" quiz held in the Opera House with Keith Hambleton as quiz-master. This was organised by the committee for the swimming Queen, Sandrs Quale.

Navy Queen Ann Grantham was almost press-ganged into service with the skull and crosabones but fortunately the 'Navy came along and saved her. Did you enlist, Ann?

Dances and games evenings have been run by all the Queens and by the end of the contest the pool funds should benefit appreciably.
