In Nelson they classified it as "the third disaster". First they lost the railway. Then they lost the cotton mill, Now they've lost Forbes Robinson, But what is Nelson's loss is Gisborne's gain, because Mr Robinson, a school teacher of unusual talents, is now headmaster of Wainui Beach School. A Cambridge M.A., Mr Robinson taught for 18 years in Nelson, and in that time earned the affection and gratitude of thousands of pupils and their parents. He is shown above with some of the machines he has built as aids to teaching, and at left on the occasion of his farewell from Central School, Nelson.
