Centre Dog Trial Championships

The Poverty Bay centre dog trial championships, staged by the Ngatapa Club on the properties of Messrs A. F. Box and J. D. Jobson in perfect autumn conditions over three days, attracted widespread entries and a good following.

The contestants competed on three courses, the long head, short head, and hunt-away; straight and zig-zag.
