On the other hand, a building in Awapuni Road is in the last stages of demolition. Although there is a certain amount of doubt as to its original purpose when first built, the structure seems to have had use as a hospital and a children's creche.

Over the past decade however, it has been used as flats. Now the site is required by a Frozen Food Company.

The three-and-a-half ton concrete and Nelson Stone slabs are placed in position by crane on the new Courthouse Building in Read's Quay.
