Winter Sports

The seasonal change to Winter Sports got off to a good start with particularly mild weather for the first weekend's play. At Barry Park, Mangapapa School played their first game against Muriwai School. The boys were brim-full of energy and had the referee really tramping. The result was a six-all draw.

Grey Wing lost to High School Old Girls when they played the first game of the season. Beverly Fryer wants to pass to Gay Webster (it's behind you, Gay!), while Eileen Ward and Dawn Gallagher prepare to attack. Jill Carmichael has her back to the camera. Note the Grey Wing shoulder tabs. Neater looking then bibs, they serve equally as well.
