Badminton Opening Night

Sixty-five players attended the Gisborne Badminton Club's opening night of the season in the Army Hall a fortnight ago.

Among these were many beginners, eager to try their hand at this lightning game of racket and shuttlecock.

The club's president, Mr Jim Taylor, instructs three new members on racket-holding technique. They are: Annette Conole, Diane Breingan, and Barbara Gillies.
