This banana tree is growing only a few feet from Gladstone Road. Mr Dudley Robieson shows the bloom just above which can be seen several hands of bananas.

The Kaiti Sea Scouts' hall in Anzac Park was the scene of a working bee recently. Parents and scouters led by Group Scoutmaster Bert Hanlen painted the exterior in one day.

There were nine blooms in full flower on this lily displayed by Mrs MacFarlane of Willow Street. Another 14 buds were hidden by the blooms.
