Children's Art Display

An exhibition of three hundred paintings and drawings, selected from nearly three thousand entries from secondary school children throughout the North Island, was displayed in the Giaborne Art Gallery recently through the courtesy of Bing, Harris and Co Ltd.

Included in the exhibition were three paintings by local artists; all of them from the Ngata Memorial College at Ruatoria. They were Rawhiti Reid, painter of "Shearing", Rangl Kaua, "Combat", and Kuia McClutchie, "Aftermath of a Bushfire".

A stark study by 17 year-old B. F. Bartos, of Wellington College.
