Burns Night Celebrated

Burns Night, the nearest Saturday to January 25th, was celebrated by members of the Gisborne Burns Club with a dinner and concert in the R.S.A. Bowling Club Hall.

Highlight of the occasion was the "piping in" of the haggis.......a ceremony to warm the heart of any Scotsman.

The guest speaker at the dinner was Mr Jock Mathison M.P., from Christchurch.
