Mrs D. Scholium and her daughter Desna are becoming well-known in the district for their unusual poi performances. Instructed by Rama White, whose sister Marie, and grandmother, Mrs Dan White, helped them make their costumes, the pair appeared for six nights as guest artists on George Tollerton's Beach carnival show at Xmas.
