Badminton Championships

With a large number of top players from outside the district competing, the Poverty Bay badminton championships held in the Army Hall over two days, proved to be one of the most successful yet.

Although the visitors claimed victories in the main matches, the local players were not disgraced, causing some upsets in the heats and semi-finals.
