Y.M.C.A. Representatives

The Gisbome Young Men's Christian Association was represented by two teams at the annual national older boys' tournament which was held at Palmerston North during the August school holidays,

At the tournament, which included gymnastics, basketball, volleyball, speech-making, scripture reading, and table tennis, the A team secured second place, and the B team, fifth place.

Members of the B team are, back row: Paul Champion, Peter Riddell (captain), and Graham Turnball, Front row: Graeme Elsmore, Milton Smith, and Kevin Stewart.

The girls' team, which represented Gisborne at the national older girls' tournament held in Nelson during the holidays, was placed third. This tournament included the same events as the boys'.
