"Mrs New Zealand" Farewelled

"Mrs New Zealand 1962", Mrs Joan Coates, of Stout Street, Gisbourne, accompanied by her husband, Dr Jim Coates, de-parted by air from Darton Field recently on the first leg of their two-weeks' prize trip to the Northern Pacific Coast of America.

A good crowd of women folk turned out to wish them "bon voyage" on their trip, which includes a visit to the Seattle World Fair.
