Miss June Irvine, who conducts the sessions for women from Station 2Xg. Miss Irvine returned recently from an extended tour overseas and has been entertaining her listeners with an account of her travels.

Mr and Mrs G. M. Newman, formerly of Patutahi, and now of 177 Wainui Road, Gisborne, were given a farewell evening at Fatutahi on the eve of Mr Newman's retirement from farming there after 22 years. Both Mr and Mrs Newman have been closely associated with the life and affairs of the Patutahi community. In this photograph they are shown during the singing of Auld Lang Syne with their son Rex, who will continue farming the Patutahi property, and his wife, the former Miss Margaret Jones, of Gisborne.
