It is not given to many couples to see out 65 years of married life, but such has been the case with Mr and Mrs F. Gardner, 20 Oswald Street. Mr Gardner, now 85, still enjoys a game of bowls while Mrs Gardner, 84, although blind now, retains an alert interest in the world about her.
