One of the best displays of match golf seen in Gisborne for a long time was that attending the final of the P. B. Ladies' Golf Club senior championship between Mrs.G. J. O. Booth, of Gisborne, and Miss Doreen Blundell, of Tauranga, who has a national reputation of considerable standing. The match resulted in a win for Mrs Booth, four and three.
