The Great Zorro returned to the Opera House last month in a match with Al Costello, the Australasian champion. In between acts, there was some good wrestling.

(1). In this odd shot, Al is caught in mid-air either entering or leaving the ring.

(2). At bout's end, this was how Costello's tough opponent ended up, much to his zorro.

(3). Maypole effect using wrestlers' legs.

(4). Crowd was greatly excited.

(5). Police helped Herb. Duckworth calm down contestants after Costello was disqualified.

The Amateurs

Gisborne amateurs have provided wrestling fans with some good displays in the Opera House of recent months. Our photos show:
