Wedding Bells

Mr and Mrs Colin Douglas Torrey leaving Holy Trinity Church after their ceremony. The bride was formerly Miss Shirley Fay McAneney, daughter of Mrs and the late Mr F. E. McAneney, Clifford Street. The bridegroom is a son of Mr and Mrs E. D. Torrey, of Lower Hutt. Attendants were Mrs B. McDermott (Cambridge) and Miss Pamela McAneney, a niece of the bride. Mr T. Flood (Auckland) & Mr F. Grierson (Wellington) were best man and groomsman.

An archway of hockey sticks formed by members of the Thistle Hockey Club, of which the bride is a member, greeted Mr and Mrs Rex Le Bas as they left St. Andrews Church. The bride, who was formerly Miss Ann Solomann, daughter of Mr and Mrs T. C. Solomann, Fox Street. Her husband is a son of Mr and Mrs H. Le Bas. The attendants are Miss Margaret Kent and Mr D. Neill.

Confetti & Good Wishes

Girls of the Girls' Brigade turned out in force at the MetHodist Church recently to shower one of their leaders, Miss Margaret Sellman, with confetti and good wishes on the occasion of her marriage to Mr George Robert Evans, eldest son of Mr and Mrs W. R. Evans, Whittaker Street. The bride, who is the daughter of Mr D. J. Sellman, Stafford Street, and the late Mrs Sellman, is seen at left entering the church on the arm of her father while (above) she is shown leaving with her groom as the children convey their congratulations.
