Carolyn Satherley, who was educated at Waimea College, lives in Richmond and works as a shop assistant with C Page and Sons. To help fill in the leisure hours, Carolyn goes dancing, enjoys music and reading.

Wally Drinkwater, a married man with a grown-up family (grand-pop of three), came from Kent to Nelson 13 years ago. Wally, who had his own watchmaking firm in London, is head watchmaker with Louis Kerr. He's a keen boat builder, fisherman and dabbler in electronics.

Robin Rodwell, an 18-year-old salesman with Camera House, was born in England and came to Nelson in 1958. He was educated in Nelson and ranks among his interests, soccer, shooting and fishing, and, of course, photography.

Daphne Hopgood, a shop assistant with Self Help, lives at Stoke and was educated at Waimea College. Daphne is a keen sportswoman, with her favourite sports Softball, basketball and swimming. Dancing is another interest.

Lilian Wingham is "only a housewife", hut as far as we can see a very busy one. She has three children and moved to Nelson from Hari Hari seven years ago. Beside the family, her main interests are gardening, tailoring, membership of the Tahuna School Committee, and she is also a "harrier mother".

Basil Friend, a married man, is a plasterer who has lived in Nelson all his life. Basil is a keen pig shooter and although no longer an active participant is a keen follower of Rugby.
