Nelson Loses Rugby to Canterbury B
Nelson's first half-showing in its last representative match of the season, against Canterbury B, heartened its supporters. But the tanacious tackling of the first half disintegrated and the strong-running Canterbury backs played havoc with the defences. Canterbury won by 17 pts to 6. The season for Nelson has been a poor one, only two of its seven games being won. But selector-coach, Ron Hors-ley, has accomplished much, and the effects of his coaching this year should be more apparent next season.
