"Miss Personality"
The Public Relations Office and Station 2XG got together recently and organised a "Miss Personality" contest, which attracted considerable interest. With Mrs C. McRae and the Rev. T. V. Pearson as judges, the final six entrants were interviewed on Women's Hour sessions held at Centreway Dining Rooms, the Chalet Rendezvous, and Ulverstone, and the winner was announced at the sound-stage on Waikanae Beach.
The title went to an attractive Gisborne schoolteacher, Miss Rosalie Scandrett, who won a wardrobe of fashion clothes, a return air trip to Nelson, £20 spending money, a pair of fashion shoes and a handbag.
