The Sea Harvest

Several new boats have been added in recent months to the collection at Gisborne, including the new tug Hiku-rangi (see elsewhere in this issue) and the tuna-fishing boat Olwyn. A notable new arrival for East Coast Fisheries was the Sea Harvest, built in Wellington.

The Sea Harvest is of all-kauri construction, sturdily built, and is fitted with a l52hp motor.

Welcoming party included Mrs Esme Tombleson, M.P, Mr Tombleson, Mr David Clarke, PRO, and Mr Warwick. Allen, manager of E. C. Fisheries. At right is Mr Maurie Davis, one of the builders, who sailed the boat to Gisborne, and planned to settle here.
