Passing Parade
Happy wanderers returned are these members of the East Coast contingent which attended the Scout Jamboree at Dunedin. They are pictured at the railway station on arrival in Gisborne.
Good progress is being made with the "Parade of Homes" in Turenne Street, off de Lautour Road in Kaiti. The exhibition, with more than a dozen houses, is due to open next month.
The circular excavation has been made, and the drainage channels installed, for the big city water reservoir to be built on Nob Hill at Kaiti.
This "Stock Train" ran off the "rails" in the Waioeka gorge, and plunged 20yds down a bank. Driver and stock were unhurt.
