Neil Robinson, son of Mr and Mrs A. Robinson, 8 Herbert Road, who is one of the Gisborne Cycling Club's most promising juniors. In his first year of cycling, Neil annexed the junior H. B. and P.B. road and track titles.

Mrs J. H. Drummond, of Putaruru, who has been selected as chaperone of the New Zealand Women's Team for the Olympic Games in Rome. Mrs Drummond was formerly Miss Sue Dale, of Gisborne, where she was born and educated. She left Gisborne in 1941.
