Raymond Walford was born in an artists home yet he didn't begin to consider art as a career until he was in his mid 30's. Ray was always good art and his father teaches art at Gisborne Intermediate. Last year he began to study at the Polytech where Sandy Adsett took an interest in Ray's work. Now 1½ yrs later Raymond Walford has his own exhibition at Fettuccine Brothers Restaurant in Peel Street.

Kerry Richter & Gary File & the Shell Cup where at the Poverty Bay Cricket Assn stand in the Corson's Sports Expo area. Kerry and Gary were registering past & present cricket players for the P B Centenary which will be the very big 1996-7 season.

David Clarke (left) with James & Richard from Opou Station, entered this 1949/50 Landrover in a competition to find a Lan-drover with an intriguing past. They won the regional competition & are to represent Gisborne in the National Finals late in November where the 1st prize is a drive yourself around Zimbabwe holiday.
