NUCLEAR TESTING
GISBORNE AGAINST

Greenpeace representatives visited Gisborne to speak of the Mana Tangata - the strength of the people - to change the policies of sink to sea where land based sources enter the rivers, carrying the sewerage & chemicals into the sea. A media call to gather at the wharf, to show strength of opinion, was heeded by many Gisborne people in a peaceful protest.

School pupils, the caretakers of the future, recognised their determination to abhor nuclear testing now and in the future not only for mankind but also for the environment.
