Bride of the year

The annual Bride of the Year Competitions, raised $7800 for the Enterprise Aquatic Centre. Brides always attract attention and 17 standing on the same stage at the Cosmopolitan Club was truly breathtaking. The judges had their work cut out for them when deciding the Gown of the Year. However the Bride of the Year was chosen mainly on money raised for the charity with an audience vote after the Brides had been introduced. A packed house congratulated all the brides for their efforts and the efforts of local promoter Stuart Dwight who with Janet Bodle kept a running commentary as the Flowergirls, Pageboys and Brides took their places on the stage.
