ARCHERY CHAMP

The Eastland Archery Club, which has its shooting range at the racecourse, boasts a good competition track record. The club is one of 22 who compete by posting their local results (5 rounds) to a National Co-ordinator. Eastland came 3rd in the Teams event. Andrew Rickard won the Recurve section by having the best aggregate over the 5 rounds. Other successes are Helena Morrow -2nd Women's Crossbow, Russell Low - 2nd Men's Crossbow, Bevan Gordon - 3rd Men's Crossbow & Denis Trueman - 4th Men's Crossbow.

Russell Low brought his son to try archery. He had a go and is doing quite nicely and enjoys his new sport.

Andrew Rickard is in great form to go to National Champs in Hamilton in December & possibly on to being a N Z Representative should finances become available.
