SOLICITORS ADMITTED TO THE BAR

A large group of family and friends were present at the Gisborne District Courthouse to give their support when three solicitors were admitted to the Bar.

Jacqueline Haapu has a double degree in Arts & Law through Waikato University & is the daughter of Carol & George Haapu of Patutahi. She was schooled at Patutahi, Waikohu & Lytton High. Jacqueline toured Europe with The Young Ambassadors with Tommy Tauri

Peter Brown LIB (Law Auckland) is the son of Moe & George Brown, Manutuke. Peter was Gis. Boys High Head Prefect & Capt. of 1st XV, a Nth Is. Rep., he played for YMP, Pov. Bay & Waikato. Peter broke his studies in the mid 80's due to family commitments. After the experiences of working in the Maori Land Court & Social Welfare Peter returned to Auckland Law School to complete his Law Degree. It is not surprising that Peter will continue with extra mural studies through Waikato to do his Masters in Business Administration.

Dianne Alley the daughter of Margaret & Ron Alley of Tiniroto was a pupil of Campion College. Dianne at age 22 completed her Law studies at Otago University.
