KIDS FISHIN'

The Junior Fishing Competition is an annual event to foster families fishing together. Each child who enters wins a prize (at least equal in value to their entry fee) due to the tremendous support that the Gisborne business community gives in the form of sponsorship. Further support is given by the Port of Gisborne, the parents who attend and the members of the Gisborne Surfcasters Club who have organised this event for the past 20 years. Hail, rain or shine, the kids love this event and turn up by the hundreds.
