PULTRON 2000

Very demanding but ideal conditions greeted the contestants in the Pultron 2000 Windsurfing Classic at Kaiti Beach during Anniversary Weekend. With an 18-20 knot wind and New Zealands top windsurfers entered, it turned out to be a spectacular event. Winner of the Open (and $1000) was Shane Bright, husband of Olympic gold medallist Barbara Kendall who had to settle for 2nd place. Locals did well with Larry Foster winning the Masters with a very "chuffed" Brett Sherriff 2nd and John Simmonds 3rd.
