Seven Gisborne people took the opportunity to get their hands and feet wet when they joined the STS Spirit of Adventure volunteer crews in Napier. 3 hour sails, enabling as many of the public as possible to get on board, were popular with ex-trainees who have formed their own 'Voyagers Club'. Anyone interested in the club details can contact Cia Neilson (Ph. 8623939). Cia sent in the photo with her mum Glenis (in pink), Cushla Draffin (yellow) & Mel Bell (white)

On their recent honeymoon to the UK, Peter and Susie Tate bumped into the Queen. Colin Quigley was kind enough to send this photo in.

Captured out in the country, we think this letter box of the Adams Family is a real cutie. If Mr or Mrs Adams would like to call at the Photo News alongside Camera House in Grey Street, they can pick up a complementary copy.

The local radio station 2ZG has been the collection point for Christmas gifts for children who would otherwise face a less fortunate Christmas than others. Callum Sanders (2ZG Station Manager) is pictured knee-deep in presents after a wonderful response from the public. The gifts were distributed by the Salvation Army.

This photo from Fay Cottle an AFS long term student in Sweden. Fay wrote a lovely letter saying she receives the Photo News from her family each month and would like to "thank everyone who has helped make her dream come true". Pictured with Fay (Right) is her host sister Teresia Bostrom (Left) and a soldier guarding the Royal Palace in Stockholm, Sweden. Fay was bound to experience a "white Christmas" with -16 degree temperatures "where the geese get goosebumps" in Sundsvall where she is living. Many thanks for keeping in touch Fay and best wishes for a spectacular 1995 from the 4 "Elves" at the Photo News.
