Spring Show

For the Poverty Bay A&P Show committee, the 1994 spring show was a spectacular success equalling the record attendance of the previous year. The wild, wet weather on the Friday evening did not deter the thousands, both young and old, who wandered through the vast array of trade stalls and home industries, saw farm animals of every kind in top condition, outstanding competition in the horse and pony section, dog trials, shearing, chopping, dancing and of course the exciting sideshows. All this and more when town meets country and everyone has a great time

It took all Rod Mead's experience and Kip's skill to take out the Pal Meaty Bites dog trial final. With over 160 competitors, it was a busy time for this section. Rod and Kip will represent us at the Auckland Easter Show against finalists from other shows and will take part shortly in a test against Australian dogtrialists.
