PB V EC RUGBY

The clash of the two neighbours in the NPC 3rd Division game was truly a memorable one for the Coast. Leading 16 - 3 at half time, there appeared to be only one team in it and in spite of a lapse at the beginning of the second half which let Poverty Bay in for a try, it was East Coast all the way with a stunning 19 - 13 victory. Straight up the middle and keeping the ball in hand, Mopey Devery's boys were the toast of the Coast.
