Festival of Orchestras

The 14th annual Festival of Orchestras brought together musicians from primary to secondary level who are learning an instrument in or out of school, in a show of talent at the YMCA. The theme for the concert was Year of the Family.

Gisborne Girls' High School's "Lungz" singing "Ice Castles" accompanied by their school orchestra and Jessie Bell. The conductor was Gina Shanks.

Murray Fletcher one of the conductors, supported the singing during the waiata medley played by the full orchestra. Gordon Gregory also conucted and the Festival pianist was John Scott
