LIONS

For the first time since 1971 the Lions Clubs in Gisborne will have the District Governor from among their ranks. District 202B, an area from Hicks Bay to Castlepoint in the Wairarapa with 64 clubs, will be under the direction and guidance of Wainui Lion Hans Kwak. Following a visit to Holland to catch up with old friends, Hans and his wife Patricia (pictured right) attended the International Lions Convention in Phoenix, Arizona where Hans was inducted as District Governor. Lions began in Gisborne 33 years ago. There are now 6 clubs in the area, Gisborne Host, Turanga, Wainui, Pakeke, Sun City (women) & Endeavour Lioness.
