Several years of training at University or Teachers College prepare trainee teachers for their own classroom. After 2 years of successful probation they become registered teachers. Gisborne's Jackie Clarke (right) with Wellingtonians Charolitte Yates (left) and Robin Nathan (centre) returned for a feature show at Scotty's Bar and Grill. Calling themselves When The Cats Been Spayed, they gave a live wire Kiwi variety performance which entertained a crowd of all ages. The former Ida Road resident was a pupil of Waikirikiri, Ilminster and Gisborne Girls High (where she was Dux and Head Prefect and member of the GGHS Marching Orders Band) considered the highlight of her visit to be the luxury ride in the Limousine.
