ANZAC
Those who gave their lives for their country were remembered at the annual ANZAC day services. Although the numbers of returned servicemen is dwindling, those who marched did so with pride and precision. The parade contained a large number of the city's youth and the main speech at the service was given by Marama Nehua, a student of Lytton High School. Her words brought a tear to many, both young and old. Once again Gisborne turned on a beautiful day to remember those who made the supreme sacrifice.
